Well, we are still working away on the gallery. Two more roman shades are going up today. Hubby spent last weekend doubling our storage space with shelves in the room with the shower and washer and dryer. Fantastic and super convenient and so useful. He took advantage of the entry way and lined the space with shelves.
He had already installed 3 sconce lights in my studio, but they were just not quite enough for the detail work I need to do. So today he is installing the LED cloud fixture we purchased. It gives so much light. Of course, this was after eight hours of trying to fix the wiring in the ceiling that refused to cooperate. He is so sweet there are two light switches right by the door way (where they should be) and one in the middle of the wall several feet away. He is relocating that circuit to the existing switches to make my life more convenient.
The studio is really shaping up now. I am still going to need some storage, but we have some tentative plans for that. I did have room and was able to sew the roman shades we are installing, and I have started one of my next mixed media projects. This involves and old pair of skates and their skate key.
I have even been able to work on the quilt I am making for my newest great granddaughter who is expected later this month. I told her mother that it would be touch and go for who arrived first the baby or the quilt. She understood completely.
We donated a few more things and we are downsizing more as we go. It is so very hard to do. I thought there was going to be a way to use some of these things, but the space just does not allow for it. Since I am a terrible pack rat it can be very hard for me to let go and to choose the things I really need to keep. I seem to be getting better at it. (well a little better)
My husband is such a blessing he just works non-stop without complaint. If he is home, he is working on the house and he has been putting in overtime at work.
I guess that is all the there is to report, we have been very busy but when you write it all down it does not seem like much. Oh well, our deadline of mid-August we be here before we know it.
