One way to do this comes to me in a weekly email. It is called Painter's Keys. This is a series of articles, that were published as letters by the artist Robert Glenn. His son has collected these in a book and they 're being republished by email, weekly. The letters themselves are about artists, places and sometimes answers to artists with questions. The letters are well written and very encouraging and informative. They is always an afterword with quotes from various sources that are applicable to the letter.
While the letters do not always apply to what I am doing at that specific moment; they are a welcome addition to my day as thoughtful pauses.
I highly recommend these to anyone who is creative. http://painterskeys.com
