My husband has been working diligently to put in new LED fixtures which are brighter and more efficient and seal up the duct. The whole place is keeping a more comfortable temperature and we are hoping for a reduction in our bill. This has been a difficult problem as there are studs, beams and a variety of things in the way when he tries to put wires in the appropriate places. There will be a new bank of switches to control the track lights and the recessed lights separately. I think it is going to be very nice. Of course, the best place for these switches is in a solid block wall. The sounds of the chisel and hammer are reverberating as I type.
The roman shades are installed in all the windows but one. That one is in the room with all the stored boxes. Bill found time to paint the recessed windows it really adds so much. We are working with a three toned paint scheme. The lightest shade is the ceiling, the medium shade for the walls and all the recessed window sills and frames, and the door way are the darker accent color. They are a shade of beige. Many galleries and studios use all white, but I think that it is too harsh. The soft beige is comfortable and will allow the artwork to be easily visible in a softer light.
I have almost completed the quilt for my new great grand daughter she will be arriving later today or tomorrow (inducing labor this morning).
Hubby also did a few hours in the yard early in the morning yesterday. It looks so much better, even the landlord said the place had never looked this good.
So, that is how it is here, work, work, work. It is going to be very nice when it is all finished.
I will post again soon.
