Friendly saguaro
Friendly Saguaro is constructed using the paper below that is folded in to triangular units. As soon as I saw this at Upcycle (a fabulous, quirky art store in Tucson, AZ), I thought of a cactus. I also saw the wire at Upcycle and knew that it would make the perfect cactus thorns. After photographing and studying the saguaros in my neighborhood, I knew what I wanted. It took about three weeks to glue the pieces and thorns in place. A few days of painting and putting in dirt with a small ledge for my snake and it was done. The snake is a mesquite pod dried and painted to resemble a king snake. Saguaro Light can be yours for $175
